Right on the heels of my predicting it will receive at least 5 major nominations, David O. Russell’s “The Fighter” got its first trailer finally released today. My predictions hold steady. This looks exactly like the kind of thing the Academy will eat up (though we should still be wary, as “Cinderella Man” looked the same way on paper). Not so sure now whether Melissa Leo or Amy Adams will emerge as the primary Supporting Actress contender, but Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale are guaranteed to be in the mix either way.
